Hearty french toast with goat cheese

How to prepare it

  1. Beat the egg with the milk, paprika and cumin in a deep plate or a broad, shallow bowl.
  2. Season with pepper and optionally a pinch of salt.
  3. Soak the slices of wholemeal bread in the egg mixture and turn to cover both sides.
  4. Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the French toast until done, about 6 min. Turn halfway through.
  5. Crumble the goat cheese.
  6. Place the French toast on a plate and sprinkle with the goat cheese, rocket and walnuts.
