Everyone’s talent matters and is developed to the fullest, and we like to help others on their way to happiness. We strive for social equality by being inclusive and diverse. Everyone feels safe in an inclusive organisation. Everyone can be themselves and is treated equally; all employees have access to the same opportunities and means. An inclusive organisation makes diversity possible. That means that we don’t focus on the differences between people. Everyone is equal, regardless of gender, sexual preference, age, cultural background, religion, level of education, or occupational limitations. That is what being a good employer means to us.

Ieders talent doet ertoe, wordt maximaal ontplooid en we helpen anderen op weg naar geluk. We zetten ons in voor sociale gelijkheid door inclusief en divers te zijn. In een inclusieve organisatie voelt iedereen zich veilig. Iedereen heeft de ruimte om zichzelf te zijn, er is gelijkwaardigheid en alle samenwerkers hebben toegang tot dezelfde (doorgroei)mogelijkheden en middelen. Een inclusieve organisatie maakt diversiteit mogelijk. Het betekent dat we geen onderscheid maken tussen de verschillen die er zijn tussen mensen. Gender, seksuele voorkeur, leeftijd, culturele achtergrond, religie, opleidingsniveau of arbeidsbeperking; bij ons is iedereen gelijk. Zo geven wij invulling aan goed werkgeverschap.

Social return

Wij vinden dat iedere organisatie de taak heeft om maatschappelijk bij te dragen. Want juist organisaties zijn de sleutel naar een wereld waarin iedereen dezelfde kansen krijgt. Daarom zetten wij de deuren open voor iedereen. Buiten ons bedrijf en binnen onze ketens ondernemen wij vanuit dezelfde visie en gaan we voor transparantie en een eerlijke prijs voor de mensen die er werken. We vinden het gaaf dat we op deze manier veel mensen een fijne werkplek kunnen bieden. Bijvoorbeeld op onze business horeca-locaties, in De Verspillingsfabriek, onze zorgbakkerij of als gebaarista in een van de espressobars van de Sign Language Coffee Bar.

The Care Bakery

Most of the bakers in our care bakery are hard of hearing. So they’re not big on words, but they’re very good with their hands, which they use to communicate and to knead, roll and bake all that homemade goodness. It always smells delicious there. Wonderfully sweet when they bake biscuits, muffins, brownies or our banana bread from rescued, overripe bananas. Deliciously spicy when our sausage rolls are in the oven. Or... that chocolate smell! Because our patisserie works with the most fragrant chunks of pure chocolate and prepares mouth-watering bonbons with surprising fillings. We bake the world a better place; taste the difference!

De Verspillingsfabriek

De Verspillingsfabriek makes tasty soups and sauces from fresh left-over ingredients from vegetable processors, farmers and growers. A shipment of damaged courgettes, onions that are too small, knobbly pumpkins, cauliflower and broccoli cuttings, spotty bell peppers... the factory knows what to do with those! They make products bursting with goodness: more fresh vegetables, no artificial preservatives with E-numbers, and lots and lots of herbs and spices. A large part of the team is made up of people who have challenges entering the labour market, but the only labels you’ll find here are the ones that go on the packaging. They think in terms of opportunities because we hate to let talent go to waste.

Sign Language Coffee Bar

At the Sign Language Coffee Bar, our 'Gebaarista's' are all hard of hearing. You order your coffee in sign language with the help of a menu on a video screen. The barista then prepares your order with the dedication of a true professional; coffee just the way you like it! The Sign Language Coffee Bar provides people who are hard of hearing with professional training to become Sign-Language Baristas and provides various concepts to give your business or event a fun, original and socially responsible touch.
